Group picnic shelters are available for reservation at a variety of parks on Lake Allatoona and the Etowah River. These shelters are maintained by U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, and are ideal for family reunions, birthday parties, or company gatherings. Facilities available for reservation include pavilions and indoor sports facilities at Hamilton Crossing Park, Manning Mill Park, Gatewood Park, and Center Community Building. These facilities are located across Bartow County and are ideal for civic and social events of various sizes.
Managed by Bartow County Parks & Recreation, this retreat facility is located on 100 wooded acres with two miles of shoreline on Lake Allatoona. The center is available for weekly full-site rentals, two night packages and single night rentals. Amenities include an 80-person chapel, a 50-person chapel, a recreation pavilion, canoes and kayaks, swimming pool, hiking trails, volleyball court, and horseshoe pits. This municipal center serves the community as the Georgia Precinct #000 polling place, with American Red Cross blood drives, and more. The Civic Center is available for reservations for company meetings, wedding receptions, civic groups, etc. Two rooms accommodate groups of 35-65 people each. The main room will accommodate up to 700 people depending upon type of event. Kitchen facilities are also available for an additional fee.
Newly-renovated community center accommodates 100 people comfortably. The facility includes new flooring, 13 rectangular tables, 100 folding chairs, kitchen and restrooms. Rentals are open to City of Emerson residents and non-residents, on a first-come reservation basis. A security deposit is required.

This day-use facility operated by the Cartersville-Bartow County Convention & Visitors Bureau is located on Lake Allatoona and offers a dining hall with for groups up to 200. This 210-acre retreat on Lake Allatoona is a hidden gem located just 5 miles from I-75. The retreat includes three event facilities for large groups and several picnic shelters for small gatherings: Laurel Hall comfortably accommodates 350 for banquets and features a full commercial kitchen, vaulted ceilings and a full basement for pre-and-post event functions. Mariner’s Lodge offers a rustic setting for 150-seated guests. The lodge’s double-sided rock, wood-burning fireplace is a focal point along with its lakeside setting just a short walk from Taylor’s Point. A caterer’s kitchen and private guest quarters enhance the lodge’s appeal to quilters and scrapbook enthusiasts for weekend retreats.
Both Laurel Hall and Mariner’s Lodge have WiFi, cable TV, and AV equipment available. Starlight Pavilion is an open-air venue sheltering up to 300 guests, and offers a stage with green rooms, and is cooled by ceiling fans throughout. Restrooms are available in the adjacent pool house. Pine Acres Retreat offers onsite cottages accommodating up to 90 overnight guests with an additional 32 platform campsites and bath houses. Cottages have central heat & air, fully equipped kitchens, cable TV, Internet, outdoor grills, and covered porches. Guests may enjoy the outdoor swimming pool, pebble beach, archery range, hiking trails, fishing sites, and kayak rentals.
This open air, two-story cabana is surround by 10 white sand volleyball courts (four courts with lights) adjacent to the lakes at Terminus Wake Park. The Beach Pavilion provides ample space for 630 guests and includes a sound system, tables, chairs, restroom and outdoor shower facilities.
