The City of Adairsville, the Sans Souci Women’s Club and Dr. Jennifer Dickey from the Kennesaw State University (KSU) Public History Department proudly announce the grand re-opening of the Adairsville Depot History Museum and Welcome Center.  During the past year, Dr. Jennifer Dickey, assisted by students and colleagues from KSU, reorganized and revitalized the exhibits to depict the grand history of Adairsville. Visitors can now read panels containing vital information of Adairsville from the 19th century, learn about rail transportation and its effect on the region, see displays about the Great Locomotive Chase, and view milestones from the 20th century and snapshots of famous Adairsville residents. Following a ribbon cutting led by Adairsville Mayor Ken Carson and Adairsville City Council Members, the KSU students and staff will be on hand to answer questions as visitors tour the newly-renovated museum displays including two model train exhibits depicting the Great Locomotive Chase and Adairsville, past and present. The train exhibits were funded by corporate sponsors, Georgia Power and Johnny in the Spot, and were created and installed by Dave Bennett of
