An annual October event since 2003, this popular four-day event includes Western music, Gunfight re-enactments, Native American dance demonstrations, and so much more! The festive Kids Corner has a petting zoo, inflatables, mechanical bull rides, and a variety of free activities for children. This year’s featured artists will be Scott Christensen and Quang Ho. The featured entertainer will be America’s favorite cowboys, Riders In The Sky.

2018 Schedule Highlights:

THURSDAY

  • Passport to the West School Program with performances by Native Americans Laura Alcorn and Little Big Mountain
  • Gallery Walk, Exhibition Opening, Reception and Artist Lecture with featured artists Scott Christensen & Quang Ho, as they introduce their landscapes in the special exhibit East/West Visions: Scott Christensen & Quang Ho.

FRIDAY

  • Passport to the West School Program with performances by Native Americans Laura Alcorn and Little Big Mountain
  • Western Art History Symposium

SATURDAY

  • Southeastern Cowboy Festival 10 AM-5 PM with three stages with continuous entertainment including the Saturday-only Cowpoke Corner Children’s Stage, Gunfight at the O.K. Corral reenactment, living history encampments, Western marketplace
  • FEATURED ENTERTAINER RIDERS IN THE SKY CONCERT at the Grand Theatre at 7 PM – Concert Tickets $30-$40 available now, call 770-387-1300

SUNDAY

  • Cowboy Church 11 AM
  • Southeastern Cowboy Festival Noon-5 PM

Festival & Symposium include with paid museum admission; concert at the Grand Theatre, mechanical bull rides, and school programs require an additional fee.
