This 210-acre retreat on Lake Allatoona is a hidden gem located just 5 miles from I-75. The retreat includes three event facilities for large groups and several picnic shelters for small gatherings: Laurel Hall comfortably accommodates 300 for banquets and features a full commercial kitchen, vaulted ceilings and Lower Laurel, a full basement for pre-and-post event functions or independent meetings and workshops. Mariner’s Lodge offers a rustic setting for 150-seated guests. The lodge’s double-sided rock, wood-burning fireplace is a focal point along with its lakeside setting just a short walk from Taylor’s Point. A caterer’s kitchen and private guest quarters enhance the lodge’s appeal to quilters and scrapbook enthusiasts for weekend retreats. Starlight Pavilion is an open-air venue sheltering up to 350 guests, and offers a stage with green rooms, and is cooled by ceiling fans throughout. Restrooms are available in the adjacent pool house. Pine Acres Retreat offers onsite cottages accommodating up to 90 overnight guests with an additional 32 platform campsites and bath houses. Cottages have central heat & air, fully equipped kitchens, cable TV, outdoor grills, and covered porches. All lodging guests may enjoy the outdoor swimming pool, pebble beach, hiking trails, fishing sites, and canoe and kayak rentals. WiFi and audio-visual equipment is available with advance reservation.
This day-use facility operated by the Cartersville-Bartow County Convention & Visitors Bureau is located on Lake Allatoona and offers a dining hall with for groups up to 200. A beach, picnic areas, and playground make this an ideal spot for reunions and company picnics.
