Kenny and Dolly Tribute
April 9 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm
Featuring Dave Karl as Kenny Rogers, and Karen Hester as Dolly Parton, this tribute concert is presented by the Booth Western Art Museum at Cartersville’s Grand Theatre and coinciding with the Booth Museum’s exhibition of Through the Years: Kenny Rogers’ Photographs of America.
Dave Karl is an accomplished musician having performed in the late 80’s with the Chicago-based group Heartland, where he opened for top recording artists Lee Greenwood, Marie Osmond, Ray Price and others. He began his Kenny Rogers Tribute Show in 2008, impersonating the legendary singer with an almost identical voice, one that garnered home the role of Kenny Rogers in the Motion Picture film “Queens of Country.”
Karen Hester flourished in a musical family, performing in many settings from gospel groups to theatrical productions. She recently won “Clash of the Cover Bands” on E! with her impersonation of Dolly Parton. Karen has opened for Trace Adkins and Ricky Van Shelton. She brings her vast professional experience and outstanding costumes complete with wigs and makeup to wow every audience with her award-winning Dolly Parton tribute performances.
Reserved seats are $40 each, $35 for Booth Museum members.
