It’s a big astronomical event and a holiday weekend, so plan to stay up late at Tellus Science Museum to experience the Total Lunar Eclipse!

Lecture 8 PM – Astronomer David Dundee

Observatory 9 PM – Watch by live feed in the Theater, Great Hall and Banquet Room. In addition to Tellus’ 20″ telescope, the Atlanta Astronomy Club will have small telescopes set up on the lawn for viewing.

The eclipse begins at 10:33 PM and continues through full eclipse at 11:40 PM and will remain in shadow until 12:43 AM. In the event of cloudy skies over Tellus, live streaming will share images from other observatories across the country.

Special lunar eclipse shows will be held in the Bentley Planetarium at 9:30 PM, 10:30 PM, and 11:30 PM

The event is free to Tellus Museum Members and included with paid museum admission.
